Pique Finishes 5th At PSC €25K High Roller

If you have been following the European football league and international games, then you would know who Gerard Pique is.


This Spanish international footballer not only has good football playing skills, but has a very good appetite for big poker tournaments as well. The center-half of Barcelona football club has gained a career high at the tables by claiming the 5th spot at the PSC €25K High Roller. By virtue of this finish, he took home 129,350 Euros.

The Spanish football international is a regular at the PokerStars whenever it comes to town. He had good success in the PokerStars three times before this. He has made good showings in the 2011, 2013 and the 2016 events that had varying buy-ins. This time it was not like before as he made a huge plunge in the high roller game against the big guns in the event.   

The big names that featured in the PSC €25K High Roller event were Ben Tollerene, Dan Colman, and Christoph Vogelsang. There were a total of 55 entrants to the high rollers. Apart from this, the event also had Stephen Chidwick who eventually went on to finish the high roller event in 3rd position. Pique finishing the high roller in the fifth position is a remarkable achievement and one that he had his fans will cherish for a long time.

The first place and the winner of the PSC €25K High Roller event was Pavel Plesuv who took home €406,300. The 2nd place was bagged by Benjamin Tollerene who also took home €406,300. The 4th place was won by Lucas Greenwood and he took home €166,500.

Pique said that he was fully aware that he was sitting with the best poker players on the table. He really enjoyed competing against them and was very happy to complete the 5th position.
